Becoming a dentist requires immense dedication. That’s because it takes 7+ years to earn their dental doctorate and maintaining their license requires a life-long commitment to continuing education as well. The very first step of the entire process is obtaining an undergraduate degree, which is often in a major that’s heavy in math and science. Following graduation, they must complete rigorous in-classroom and hands-on training at one of only 67 accredited dental schools in the US. As we mentioned, their training is far from over at this point since they need to take additional classes each year to maintain their license.
Do you have a toothache? Are you struggling with swollen, bleeding, or inflamed gums? Is your dental crown cracked? If so, you should contact our dental team near Belton right away to schedule an emergency exam. Over the phone, we will ask you a few questions with the goal of learning a bit more about what happened. If needed, we can schedule a same-day visit with one of our dedicated dentists so the look, health, and function of your smile isn’t compromised for long.
Note: If your dental injury is accompanied by potentially life-threatening symptoms like trouble breathing or difficulty swallowing, then you should call 911 or head to the ER.
Dental checkups and teeth cleanings can vary in price depending on factors like whether or not you have dental insurance. With that said, the average cost in the US is between $200 and $350 (before insurance is taken into account). In fact, if you are insured, there’s a chance that you won’t pay anything out of pocket. If you aren’t insured, don’t worry – there are other ways you can make the cost of your care more affordable, like flexible financing.
