Ever since he can remember, Dr. Alvi has been interested in a healthcare profession. During his undergraduate studies, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. However, he was hoping to have a job that would allow him to work more directly with his hands and fix things. He ended up shadowing his dentist for a couple of weeks to learn more about the career and eventually decided that it was the ideal fit for his strengths and passions!
After the completion of his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Alvi remained at the same school to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He also regularly pursues continuing education to expand his clinical skillset, including courses focusing on endodontics, dental implant restorations, children’s dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Alvi is married to his wonderful wife Ayesha, and they have two boisterous boys. Away from work, he really enjoys staying active by running and cycling. He also has a passion for baking desserts! His attention to detail is just as high with creating various treats as it is with his dental work.
