During his time in college, Dr. Chowdhury was volunteering at underserved clinics in his community and noticed that the dental side had an overwhelming need for treatment. Moreover, there was limited education in general about oral health among the people. He felt he had the opportunity to make a positive impact not only through dental treatment but also holistic prevention to ensure these issues didn’t happen in the first place. After that, he committed to pursuing a career as a dentist, and the rest is history.
Dr. Chowdhury first graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He then went on to study at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Since then, he’s undertaken extensive continuing education courses in various topics, including wisdom teeth extractions, IV and oral conscious sedation, and pediatric dentistry. His favorite subject is tooth removal and he enjoys remaining up-to-date on the latest articles and research so that he can refine his skills and expertise.
If you don’t find him at the office maintaining and improving smiles, Dr. Chowdhury is at home with his wonderful wife and beautiful daughter. Together, they enjoy spending quality time, going on hikes, and seeing turtles wherever they find them. He also likes playing basketball, board games, and watching anime. One interesting fact about him: he’s never once had a cavity. But never say never!
